The Hour of the Wolf

That's the name of the short we finished editing today, even through it was due in on friday. As soon as I can there will be a copy online, along with the script, for all the world to see... the glaring mistakes that run throughout, but I don't care. You think making films is easy? Man, there is alot of things to think about and the process really takes over your life. Mise-en-scene, continuity, sound, lighting, f.stops, aperture, camera positioning, sound montage (that's why we're handing it in late, as it goes), story structure, dialogue, characterisation, locations, not to mention the logistics of it all. Believe me, the list goes on and on, and actually making a film is a trial by fire, make no mistake, especially for a bunch of greenhorn film students. Stessful to the maximus but brilliant creative fun. I recommend it anyone who has the urge and the drive. What are you waiting for? grab that digital camcorder, a copy of final cut pro/premiere (depending on yr OS), a pen, some paper, and go make yourself a movie!

Actually, I think that may be a motivational rant to be expanded on.
