What's the score?

Hopefully, by now you will have noticed the input/output doohickey in the sidebar. Also you hopefully will have noticed a thing I'm writing called 'Eating the worm', and I thought I'd tell you what I'm doing with it.

I've never written a novel. I mean, I've always wanted to, but I'm such a terrible procrastinator, and I have so many things I want to say, so many mental pictures to paint, that I don't know where to start. Also, writing a novel is quite a large undertaking, and what do you do with it afterwards? Do you hock it around to small presses, conglomerate publishing houses, try and get it serialized in a magazine or something? Or do you publish it online so people can read it now? So you can find an audience when the thing is still very much in beta? Get feedback and hopefully praise, to help encourage you in your efforts?

And if your going to publish it online, in an instantaneous fashion, why wait until you've finished? Why not publish it as you go? Why not let it evolve in front of your readers eyes?

The way I'm writing it is in small blocks. When I have enough of them I'm gonna start messing around with their order.

So, that's what I'm doing.

Oh yeah, it's not called 'Eating the Worm' anymore. Now it's just 'Maggot'.

I appreciate any comments you may have.
