fun at the supermarket

Whilst browsing for earbuds at my local tescos I discovered that a majority of the anti-winkle creams are in clear plastic security boxes. The thing is, every single one of them was under ten pounds in cost. Are people really stealing these snakeoil creams in such abudance that they need to be sealed away in security tagged boxes?
