dialogue fragment

This is a excerpt from a feature film I'm working on in my head at the moment. It's inspired by Richard Linklater's Tape and makes use of caricatures of me, Jennie and Sion as progtagonists. It's pretty close to what an actual exchange between the three of us would be like.

I've had the idea in my head since seeing Tape, but haven't really made any effort to formalise it on paper. I guess this marks the beginning of that.

Camera tracks over our three protagonists each smoking huge spliffs.

JAMIE: Hendrix...

NEIL: Don't, man.

JAMIE: What?

NEIL: Don't give the Hendrix speech. Don't ruin it.

ELSBETH: Aw, but the Hendrix speech is so cute!

NEIL (to ELSBETH): Girl, you got serious JAMIE issues.

ELSBETH: Fuck off.

NEIL: Nice comeback. I see you've been practicing.
