wass the main competition at cannes like this year?

a quick glance through the main competition reveals films by two of my favourite filmmakers: David Cronenberg and Jim Jarmusch.

A History of Violence has Cronenberg turning his hand to comic book adaptation. It is based on a graphic novel by the guy who created Judge Dread. (SPOILER WARNING: Ain't it Cool news reviews)

Jim Jarmusch does his usual brilliant things with Broken Flowers.

Now, enough of this. I still have that essay I've been bitching about forever to finish.
