Documentary Production Notes

I am currently engaged in a collaborative documentary project in University. Our brief to "Produce a five-minute documentary film in groups of 4" with clear documentation throughout the production process. After a series of problems with my original group, brought on by clashes of personality and my general inability to stand for anybody's bullshit, I have managed to join a second group in which prospects are much brighter. Nearly everybody in the group seems pretty laid-back, interesting, and above all, burning with drive and the desire to create. I say nearly as there is one member who is quite obviously depressed and doesn't much feel like co-operating. I've been there so I'm not going to get angsty about it but it looks like we're going to be carrying his weight throughout the production process. Guess those are the breaks. As I was not there at the beginning of production, when ideas were being thrown around, I was pretty much resigned to going along with whatever they'd decided, and it was just lucky that it was something that interested me. The billing has changed a little over time, narrowing in scope from what seemed like an all-encompassing history of spiritual movements since the early 1900s, to a much more manageable documentary on one man's personal beliefs and religion, called Divulgence.

Here are our preliminary production notes, in rtf format because I'm too lazy to html it, organised and typed up by the ever-helpful Maria, who is pretty much the lynchpin of the entire operation. Although the idea of the film was decided by consensus, it was hers that was chosen, and she's been blazing the trail since the beginning. To make myself useful I've volunteered as idea-monkey and Director of Photography, which means I'll be responsible for making things look pretty, or not, if that is what is best for the film. You dig?
