Guardian Article on Jim Jarmusch and his film Coffee and Cigarettes, which is due to be released here in the UK on October 22nd.

As previously stated here, prior to the US release, I am a HUGE fan of Jim Jarmusch. His films have a lyricism that make my heart beat that extra bit faster and my mind race that little bit more, and like the immigrant students mentioned in the article, I favour Jarmusch over Tarantino. If it was a choice between Pulp Fiction and, say, Dead Man, Dead Man would win every time. I guess this is because I favour art slightly over entertainment, not that a film cannot be both, or that Pulp Fiction is lacking in art, but Jarmusch's minimalist style gets to me more than Tarantino's fast-talking-clever-dialogue-violent-as-hell-pop-reference-pastiche.
